Pasensya po sa late reply!! And thank you for the ask!!! :-))))
The Dalish clans choose their own ways. Clan Lavellan specifically follows the Way of the Bow (Vir Bor’Ass): “As the sapling bends, so must you. In yielding, find resilience; in pliancy, find strength.” Although the clans can be very different, community is important to them.
Hierarchies in the clan usually place the Keeper and First to the Keeper at the top. Clans also have families that handle affairs with humans, considered Dalish nobility, these families are second. I head canon that the Dalish still take care of their mages, mages are third. Hunters and herders are fourth, and even though healers and craftworkers are at the bottom of the hierarchy, they aren’t any less important. The Dalish tend to place immense value on what an individual can contribute to their Clan.
The Dalish practice arranged marriages. Elves will be matched by their Keeper, or Keepers if one of them is from another Clan. The Keeper(s) of the couple gift them a betrothal jewel, the couple decides what to do with it. Betrothal jewels are normally turned into jewelry or are embedded into weaponry. The couple are bonded through a ritual where their blood is mixed in a chalice and each drink from it. That ritual may or may not have had a different purpose before the fall of Elvhenan. The couple eats from the same plate and the families wish them many years of life and love. The Dalish prefer to have only one child per couple. Enough so the Dalish can survive, and not too many that there is enough food to go around.
I also have a head canon that the Emerald Graves and the Arbor Wilds have bamboo forests in them. Since the Dalish get the material for ironbark from dead trees, bamboo is one of their most used materials. Clans will either trade with other clans or send their nobility to trade with humans.
happy pride month! if you're writing a story with an asexual protag and market is as "our character is asexual... because they hate romance!" i will. well i will get very sad. please learn the right terms. like i get that this is because sex and romance are so irreplaceably intertwined to allo people but come on
i just realized that ff.net being taken offline forever means that my favorite bad fic where tom and jerry get turned into anime boys, immediately have sex with each other, and then go on a 20+ chapter mythical adventure to save the world (which has no sex whatsoever) and ends with them dying and being reincarnated, is now lost media
i miss when people were making among us ocs. that was fun
how it feels to recommend someone a song and hear them go "holy shit this is good"
THEY FINALLY MADE SMG4 GOOD AGAIN AND ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS MAKE JELLOAPOCALYPSE KILL HIMSELF
