Pacifism is ultimately a privileged and idealistic position that has the tendency to hyperfocus and moralize the actions of oppressed individuals at the expense of doing everything necessary to dismantle systems of oppression.

Capitalism is violent, colonialism is violent, neuronormativity is violent, the gender binary is violent. The current social order is thoroughly violent. Individual violence is often a product of and/ or reaction to that systemic violence.

The oppressed do not have the luxury to concern themselves with moral puritanism, resistance to oppression is as crucial as bread for those most vulnerable.
