Can’t shoot my guns right now (I think my .30-06 would eject my baby out of my body 🤣), but I can sure take them apart and repair/clean them!😇 ⁣ ⁣ It’s absolutely crazy to me to think about life before settling down in Calgary. I had a few rough years for sure - untreated depression, losing family members, relationship problems, non-existent self esteem - I made a lot of mistakes too. ⁣ ⁣ But life now is so comfy and calm. I have no idea what I did to deserve it, but I’ll take it! 🧡⁣ ⁣ The biggest driver behind the good changes in my life has been being kind to others. Having hobbies like shooting to share with good people, camping, aviation, charity work... all leave so, so much opportunity for growing friendships and your own soul. ⁣ ⁣ So, planes and guns! so. she’s done this before. how many times has it been now? she’ll say ‘oh, i remember being there!’ and someone will give her a pitying look and she’ll know straight away that she got it wrong, again, because her own mind is a yawning chasm, and... yeah.

except it’s always in the past, because that’s how memory works. and this is... this is now, obviously. it’s happening now. so. so... what? so what’s next? ask someone for help, right? except what if she’s in hostile territory, and that’ll get her killed? what if this is some kind of--some kind of weird garlean trap?

so she can’t ask anyone anything. but she doesn’t know what to do. but she has to know what to do if she wants to be properly heroic. heroes can figure out anything, right? but what if--

(what this means for the stranger walking past is that there’s a catgirl standing stock-still in the middle of the street, fists clenched at her sides, bright eyes brimming with tears. ‘internal dilemma’ meets ‘anxiety attack’. spare a kind word for the girl, if you’ve got the time?)
