Taddol privateer twins Cora and Cara have been long time guards of the governors mansion. It’s a rather quiet job that pays well. The governor’s three year old son Edward loves the twins, and they in turn have become very protective of the young boy.

Prassian Magi

Magic amongst the nations of Hericlose is a peculiar thing. In some nations it is industrialized but the practitioners are heavily regulated such as in Aegia or the Tsardom. In the Centauric Conglomerate it is ignored and the Vampiric Confederation unregulated magic use is rampant. Yet it is in Prassia where we see what might be perceived as a happy medium.

Though not fully unrestricted, Prassia magicians, or Magi, enjoy a level of controlled freedom and high social standing. Colleges are located in the major cities where practitioners practice and perfect their craft. Magi oversee the production and powering of magical materials, serve as advisors to Sultans and Fuyus, and serve as a magical artillery or medicinal personnel on battlefields.

It is also worth noting that in the traditionally patriarchal Sultanate, Women often are able to rise to very high positions of power as Magi. In fact women make up a large majority of the magical practitioners within the Sultanate. This is largely due to them not only being more naturally attuned to the currents of magic, but also because they more often possess the mental fortitude to properly decipher and use that magic. This is widely accepted amongst many a Prassian man and only a fool would ever dare to insinuate a woman of the Magi had risen to her posts by less than scrupulous means. (Those who had often found such insults to be a quick way of ensuring their insides become their outsides).
