I keep seeing ppl on my Facebook that are trying to act like they know what "gun control" really means and that "our children just need to be loved and treated right and helped with their mental illness" and that "that will stop all these shootings" and im so pissed off right now so
say it with me now, the parkland shooter wouldn't have killed as many ppl if he was armed with a knife and not a gun.
when ppl say "gun control" they don't mean that they're wanting to take away your guns, it means that they want certain restrictions and regulations that make it harder for ppl to own guns and buy guns.
okay, 1st off, address "guns dont kill people, people kill people" vs "people with guns kill people". IF U HAVE A GUN AND YOU'RE KILL PPL THEN IT'S YOU AND THE GUN DOING THE KILLING, YOU ARE NOT PHYSICALLY KILLING THEM WITH YOUR BODY; THEREFORE, "PEOPLE WITH GUNS KILL PEOPLE" NOT "GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE". when we see on tv, "this person hit a crowd of people with a car", we think "that persons crazy, how could they kill people with a car??" but when we heard about shootings we never blame the gun, only the person and usually with a mental illness. i keep seeing the ridiculous idea everywhere that mental illness is the main factor in school shootings or shooting in general, and okay, mental illness sucks and it can contribute to anger tendencies BUT if you don't give them the power to act on it, then it's nothing. they can't do anything. 200 years ago we didn't have assault rifles and aks, guns weren't as big of a deal. today, as guns advance, they get more dangerous while also being easier to get. remember congress passed a law that made silencers easier to get. imagine in the shooter shot up the school with a silencer on his gun, more people would've been killed.
i've seen the argument that people need guns to defend themselves... they do realize that there are more than one way to defend yourself, right?? if everyone didn't own a gun, then you wouldn't have to worry about getting shot and you would be able to defend yourself with a knife or your fists. IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO NOT BE A LITTLE BITCH ABOUT HAVING YOUR GUNS TAKEN AWAY. DON'T BE PUSSY AND DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN. JUST LIKE YOU WOULD GIVE UP SMOKING FOR YOUR CHILDREN, THIS SHOULD NOT BE ANY DIFFERENT. LITTLE CHILDREN ARE HAVING TO FUCKING WORRY ABOUT THEIR SCHOOL GETTING SHOT UP, THAT'S SO FUCKED UP. REMEMBER SANDY HOOK?? LITTLE CHILDREN AND A TEACHER DIED!!!! what did we do about it? NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

we take drugs so seriously, like "The War On Drugs??!?! we have to fight the heroin and cocaine epidemic RIGHT NOWW!!!! LET'S SPEND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON SOMETHING THAT KILLS LESS PEOPLE A YEAR THAN GUNS DO." guns kill more people a year than drugs do. we should spend less time fighting to make marijuana illegal (a harmless drug that helps millions of people a year) and fight for something that kills young children with the pull of trigger and gets rid of their bright futures.
WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. LETTING CHILDREN DIE WHEN THEY HAD SUCH A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD OF THEM IS RIDICULOUS.
"Cain killed Abel with a stone" is not a suitable argument against gun regulation. It's just not. We aren't talking about a guy and a stone. We are talking about one guy being able to kill and injure over 100 people because he had the weaponry to do so. If that same man had walked in that night club with a fucking stone this would have been a very different story.
Agenda.
The government uses college shootings to make their point, the planned parenthood people are using the uproar on gun regulations to show that abortions need to be more available, and corporations will feed on the uneasiness of society at the moment manipulating that feeling through clever advertising. It's all money. When will the governments, planned parenthood, and corporate America see that we can't breathe money. Rest In Peace to those lost in Roseburg. My condolences to the families. My pride and adoration to the heroes.
