Five Items You Can’t Leave At Home When Traveling With A Baby
These are items that I have used during recent trips both at home and abroad that I couldn’t have done without.
1. Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light

I love this crib for so many reasons, it’s lightweight (13lbs), folds up into an easy to carry suitcase and is safe for your child – breathable mesh and no dangerous chemicals. We use this at home in place of a regular crib and as a result Little Rambler feels comfortable when sleeping in a strange place. I had initially thought of leaving this behind on a recent trip to Turkey, but had a last minute change of heart and brought it with me. During that trip she learned to crawl and pull herself up and I would have been stuck going to bed at the same time as her if I had not had such a safe place to put her for sleep.
2. Ergo Baby 360

Another item that I had contemplated leaving behind proved to be invaluable. We have a good schedule in place when we are at home, but when traveling it can be difficult to know when your baby might need to nap and if you stay home all day in anticipation of this then you may miss out on the whole trip. I was able to wear Little Rambler whenever we left the house and she could nap comfortably in multiple positions.

3. Nature’s Little Squeeze Reusable Baby Food Pouches

If your little one is on solids at the time of your trip, these pouches are perfect. While the quality of baby food brands in certain countries can be unknown, with these pouches you can easily store your baby’s favourite foods for meal times on the go.
4. Guthrie Lane Oversized Sun Hat

Because it’s adorable and functional. Such a perfect way to protect your baby’s face and neck from the sun.

5. Heaven’s Bliss Portable High Chair

The thought of trying to do mealtime with an active crawler gave me anxiety, but I had no idea that these high chair harnesses existed until I began Googling my options. I love this high chair and am so thankful to have brought it to NYC with me. Little Rambler is constantly on the go and I have no idea how we would have faired without it. This portable harness fits over almost any chair and folder up into a small bag that I keep with me at all times. I’ve used it on multiple occasions in New York restaurants, who don’t seem to carry high chairs, and at friends. It’s easily washable and something that I would never travel without again.
