Ooooh, oohhhh buddy I love these lovely spooktober things and I'm so sad they're almost over .. (i mean day 29 right? that's almost over :() I'm not confused but I would really like to know more about Kaminari in some of the drawings!! (i may or may not be inspired to write some creepy supernatural thing based off of some of them .. tbh .. but I feel like I gotta fuel my curiosity about them) What's up with those? Also, I love you. Thank you for producing lovely pieces.
Oops, I’m not sure how old this is as I didn’t get a notif for it? Anyway!
I’m so so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed the spooktober series so far! It’s true, I do only have two left. I had to refocus on paid work for the time being but I will absolutely be finishing off the set sooner than later. I am so honored that any spooktobers have inspired people! Hopefully this helps: The spooktober paintings that feature Kaminari exhibit a connection between him and otherworldliness. Willingness to connect with inhuman entities and concepts and a neutral resignation in response to that connection. In some ways Kaminari represents that bridge to the unknown and misunderstood in a surprisingly personal way for me in retrospect.
It IS somewhat coincidental that this lens applies to all three, I try to keep an open mind going into each day and to not bring in existing context but I can’t help subconscious influences. I hope that satiates your curiosity! <: Thank you SO much for your kind words!! <3
