spooktober day 28- mercy woke Mirio, finally finally finally | feat. Sir nighteye, mirio, tamaki, Deku, Kirishima
i just uploaded a 2017 favourites video in which i talk about tv shows, books and some other favourites of mine from last year! 💙🐙 thumbnail by the beautiful and wonderful @miskycharo who is also making me new art for the channel; she’s the best you should totally check her out (she also has a youtube channel!)
ODESZA will never disappoint me, so it seems. “A Moment Apart,” the titular track from their new album, is a soaring masterpiece.
Favourite Looks of 2017
A while ago someone asked if I could make a recap of my favourite looks of the year so I am going to be posting a few of these before the end of the month :)
Will link the original posts & items that are still available, too! Also feel free to send me YOUR favourite Emma looks for 2017 so that I can add them to the list.
Here is what Emma wore for the Paris photocall of The Circle.
See all my 2017 faves.
My top 10 favorite female characters for 2017 (so far...)
1. Dinah Madani
Not only was she a determined and smart woman on a mission to discover the truth about her partner who died in Afghanistan, I am so thankful to see a women of colour, especially of middle eastern background on a show like the Punisher. Doesn’t hurt that her pretty face and Ben Barnes’ pretty face got to squish together, if you know what I mean... LOVE HER.
2. Dinah Drake
The new Team Arrow had me excited for the new season, and while my baby Rory Reagan left the team, Dinah Drake taking up the mantle for Black Canary was something I never expected, but enjoyed nonetheless. Not only is she gorgeous, but I love her attitude.
3. Sylvia Tilly
Sylvia reminded me of myself from a few years back. I love how friendly, chatty and smart she is. She doubts herself when intimidated, but she learns to overcome that and trust her instincts around others, which I felt was a big area of growth for her in the first half of the season.
4. Michael Burnham
A woman of focus, intelligence and prides herself on her logic thinking, I really enjoyed seeing Sonequa Martin Green on screen after TWD. Looking forward to seeing her do more cool stuff in the second half of the season, as well as understand her emotions for Shezad Latif’s character.
5. Rosalind Capulet
I am sad that this show was cancelled. Rosalind was courageous, fiery and above all, brutally honest. Despite her position as a maid in a household where she was practically family, she stood up for herself and didn’t believe in sucking up to anybody. She said things that people didn’t want to hear and I think it’s safe to say that any character who is sassy is undoubtedly a winner and my fave.
6. Princess Isabella
Sorry, this girl is a queen. Her poise, style and the looks we got served by her had me going “Eish!” I loved her tact, diplomacy and intellect, not to mention her warmth and kindness towards Rosalind. There was untapped potential there, which we won’t get to see, unfortunately.
7. Patience Turner
We only got to see her twice so far in Supernatural season 13, but her character is certainly an interesting one, as she learns to find herself after discovering that she is a psychic. I look forward to seeing more of her, as I am loving the young faces we get to see on the show this season. Hopefully Patience and the other young girl, a Dream Walker, don’t get killed off (which Supernatural is notorious for doing)
8. Moira
The gutsy “Get your shit together” best friend from The Handmaids Tale. Damn. She is the kind of brave and bad bitch we all wanna be in situations that test us to the very limit.
9. Valkyrie
I know that the 1st 8 are characters from TV, but I couldn’t complete this list without the badass Asgardian warrior that is Valkyrie. She is a tough one and I loved her adventurous, brash spirit.
10. Hela
Hell hath no fury like a daughter of Asgard scorned of her throne. The poise, the tea, the looks... I really enjoyed Hela as a villain. Such class.
Honourable Mentions: MJ from Spiderman: Homecoming, Colleen Wing from Iron Fist, and even though I haven’t seen Star Wars yet, I know Rose Tico and Rey are gonna be awesome.
There are other characters I’ve forgotten from TV and film for this year, but for the time being, this is my fun little list. I tend to notice women of colour more distinctly, so I’m happy with the representation as well.
