The Last Stand by Guy Gross is a phenomenal piece of music, actually. only Farscape fans will understand what I’m talking about
like, the choir, the pipe organ, the brass, drama of it all. mwah! 😚👌
You can feel the sense of dread as the command carrier begins to implode on itself, and it all comes toppling down. The heroes of our story have done what they came to do, they’ve thwarted their enemy’s plans in a truly devastating way. They’ve given the innocents time to escape, but they know not everyone will make it out alive, and even though they’ve won, it came at a great cost, and it doesn’t feel like a victory. And despite all that's been gained and lost, it's all meaningless in the face of the revelation that an even greater threat to the galaxy looms on the horizon. And the music throughout this whole sequence really hammers that point home, I think.
