The first photographer to get back to me- Guy Kokken. He was kind enough to share some photos he took of BB in Belgium in 1992. He went ahead and posted the first one, caption underneath, the rest are from Pukkelpop.
For Knack Focus, Photographed by Guy Kokken 2018
Tamino was one of the winners of ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’ (‘The New Class’) and Knack Focus Magazine had asked me to make his portrait. We met at my place and started chatting. I asked him what kind of music he made. He had a recording of ‘Habibi’ and played it for me. I loved the sound of his guitar but the moment he started singing I knew he would become one of the bigger names in the Belgian musicscene. What a voice! On top of that he was kind and cooperative. And good looking! Happy to have had him in front of my camera.
