“Hey, C, it’s me, I’m coming over. You won’t believe what this woman told me this time. I’m five minutes away from your place. Unless I find a hitman on the way, then I might take a little longer. It’s serious this time. I’m ready to leave the company. Screw the contract!”
He let out a string of profanities when he ended the call and fastened his pace so he could arrive at his friend’s house rather sooner than later. Upon arriving he banged his fist against the door, another sign for his anger.
The Clive Ward Talent Company was once founded by Clive Ward himself, a well-esteemed actor, one of the old guard, to give young talents guidance and help them establish themselves in the world of glitter and glamour, find the right auditions and gigs, set up their careers. The company serves talents from all fields, no matter if it’s acting, creating music, modeling, dancing, you name it. Clive always prided himself in maintaining a very fatherly relationship with his talents and helped them with words and deeds, but being already 81 years old makes him constantly being involved in the agency too much for him and he economized. His wife Corinne took over and with that things changed in the CWTC. But, Corinne can probably explain this better than I can:
“As you may know, my husband is having his well-deserved retirement and I assumed leadership. I will keep this short because time is money. Changes are also money and changes are needed from what I have seen. Here’s what I want you talents to take to heart:
– You all will answer to me first when it comes to any project or public action. I need to be informed about anything going on in your life before anybody else knows.
– I don’t want any romantic relationships with people also involved in this company. You’re here to work, not to screw around. Be professionals, not whores. Okay, dolls?
– Since you’re signed with this company, I have the right to be involved in any management decision. I know this business, I know what’s good for your career. Tell your managers and publicists that. I know best!
– There will be meetings held at the CWTC. I expect all of you to attend unless you have a very good reason not to.
If you follow those simple rules, we should have a healthy work atmosphere. You all signed contracts, so you know what happens if you don’t follow the rules. I would love to see you finding decent jobs once you’re released. I will...I mean, it will make your life very hard after the release. I trust all of you to be smart enough not to screw this up. And now, back to business, my little ducklings, we don’t make any money from sitting around all day.”
Okay, yeah, that’s the situation right now. Corinne runs things differently than her husband before and the talents signed with the company...Let’s say they’re not very happy with recent developments. But they stay because they feel obliged to Clive. Or maybe some of them actually like Corinne’s leadership style. You never know these days. One way or another, something's brewing.
Basic Verse Information
The verse is all-human, independent, and open to any muse from any fandom, age, gender, sexual orientation or race, Original Characters are as welcome as Canon Characters. It is mainly centered in the glamorous world of Los Angeles but threads can take place anywhere.

He watched Sebastian stretch and do his thing. It made him smile softly. “Ah, I see. I’m signed directly to her but that doesn’t make it any better. I original was signed with Clive but that’s another story.” He took another sip and snorted. “Where should I start? She is not really a fan of my videos, to begin with. It all goes down from there.”
“Cedric said the same a few days ago. I really don’t get what Clive ever saw in her. She is thirty years younger than him, to start with. And if she was my wife, I would have probably strangled myself years ago. If it weren’t for the contract, I would leave. What about you? Ever considered quitting?”
“Have I mentioned that I hate Corinne?” Sebastian didn’t look up from his phone. (GV!)
“I really don’t see why. She’s such a nice person and cares about us being happy and healthy,” Chris retorted dryly and took a sip of his drink. “I currently don’t know what I hate more, the woman herself or her stupid meetings.”
