Bringing another batch of GW2 rest chair YCHs! This time featuring Springer and Warclaw, the equally most voted by patrons.🐰🐦🐱

The Ramona Mystery: Solved!

And just like that, a few days later, Ramona’s recipe has been discovered! I know I said I wouldn’t craft or use her out of respect for the devs, but I spoke with her again and she said that’s how she continues to be remembered and loved. So I’ll do that! I’ll take her with me on lots of adventures! You can find the recipe here!

The Ramona Mystery

Last night I ran into an Arenanet dev in DR chatting with players about the new dragon wings, and we found we had much in common. They make 3D assets for the game, having made the new wings and much to my surprise, the recent springer kit minis and backpack, and is a bun nut like I am, owning a black and white lionhead named Nibs <3 They also owned the rare Ramona springer minipet and of course I was curious how they got it. I learned Ramona actually was the dev’s sister’s rabbit who recently passed away. And they did their damndest to get her to look just right in order to immortalize her. Much like I created a 3D model of Pip after she passed on. Learning this, the description has a completely new meaning to me.

Only the dev and their sister currently own Ramona, and while I tried, their lips were sealed. They wanted to let the players figure it out themselves.

It always struck me as odd why Ramona seemed unobtainable and I knew there had to be a good reason. Even though I said I’d try to uncover the recipe and take Ramona on lots of adventures, in hindsight I think, even if I was the very first person to discover the recipe, I’d keep it a secret and not craft one out of respect for these two people, and Ramona. Obviously she meant the world to them. And I can really place myself in their shoes having experienced the same thing. And that’s how I met a bun nut within Anet’s ranks. Glad to see they’re also out there! If you’re reading this Zharra, give Nibs all the love!
