I'm having silly feelings about my kitty cat because she is my best friend.

I had a cat named Bob. He lived with me for 17 years. We both chose each other when we first saw each other and we kind of did everything together. He knew exactly when bedtime was. He slept up on his pillow every single night without fail and every morning he would wake me up by pulling my hair. But unfortunately he got old and passed away and it was one of the hardest moments of my life ever.

About a month later I looked at Petfinder because my heart was so broken and I always thought I would wait even longer before I got another cat because I had two others in the house who are also the darlings of my life. But I still looked and I saw this little black cat filled with so much attitude that I was just drawn to her. Like the picture of her was so insanely filled with personality that I could not ignore her. So on July 3rd after spending an hour kind of agonizing over it I said come on Mom let's go get this cat so we drove to the animal shelter. I asked can I please see Gwen and she was 4 lb of tude and sweetness and I am so happy I found her.

Recently I went through a really bad bout of anxiety to the point where I was not functioning the way I normally do. And she has been with me every second of the day that I am home to give me attention and love but in her own Gwen way where it's not always like cute cuddly sweet girl. But she sleeps in between my legs or at my feet most nights. And I just feel that loving sense of calm that I have a companion who loves me as much as I love her. And it's absolutely insane that she's going to be 3 years old this year.
