all I can think of rn is a sort of Wanessa/Binx fic from Wanessa's pov where it reads like a serious YA novel and Squak and Chirp are depicted as the rakish, flamboyant fey that always cause trouble for the protagonist, Rue and Hob are the sorrid fey courtly romance that the protagonist is witnessing happen parallel to their own romance, and Andhera is the oblivious fey prince that very much has foot-in-mouth syndrome. Meanwhile, Binx/Gwyndolin is the fey that the protagonist latches on to that shows them how the fey realm works and slowly becomes the love interest as time goes on.

And then we cut to canon.

that scene where Binx/Gwyndolin threatens the group over Wanessa's safety so reads like a character in a YA fey novel defending their human love interest from their fellow fey
