A night like any other; drunk people, loud music and lots of flirtations. With his smile kept perfectly in place, a fake display of joy, Michael mixed one drink after another while humouring various conversations. He really didn’t feel like being here tonight, he’d much rather wiggle through the crowd and find himself a man to disappear with. However, as long as Justin hadn’t arrived to start his shift, Michael couldn’t leave. It was irritating, the music slowly starting to make his head pound in a way he didn’t enjoy.

He’d been spacing out for a while, body working on auto-pilot. If he was talking to someone the past five minutes, he had no recollection of who he talked to or what had been said. Something that happened more often that he’d like to admit, but as long as it didn’t mess with his work he couldn’t care less about it.

“Now that’s rude…” Those words were directed at a man who had just sat down at the bar and had no shame reaching for the phone Michael had put down earlier and forgotten to put back into his pocket. It wasn’t rare for him to check his phone during work when there was nobody of interest to talk to and sometimes he foolishly kept it lying around instead of placing it out of customers’ reach. He kept it locked, so he wasn’t too worried about this guy fiddling around with it, but he couldn’t help but frown at the way he skimmed through the cards and little papers he had stuck in there; it did have a wallet case after all.

“If you’re some kind of cop checking to see if the workers here are of age then that’s a horrible way of going about it. You could just have asked, you know.” His voice was calm, almost emotionless. He wasn’t hiding anything and therefore didn’t mind this guy looking through his things, but he imagined other people might not be so chill with it.

Stretching his arms above his head, Leon stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before closing his laptop and getting up from his chair. His shift had started five hours ago and he was starting to get a little hungry. The reports he was writing (after having pushed it off for a few days) were almost finished, so it shouldn’t hurt to take a little break, right?

As he made his way to the door, he was stopped by Law. Instead of saying anything, he moved his big hands all over his chest and shoulders, causing Leon to tilt his head in confusion. “Ah—” So that’s why. “I’m not no. Do I need one in the office?”

“Or are you just using that as an excuse to get away with touching me~? That’s a pretty bold way of flirting, I like it.” He smirked up at the taller man, expression smug and daring.
