Q & A with Your Fave Creators
To celebrate our 10th year, we asked a bunch of you some questions about being a part of the Shinkane fandom. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting your answers.

Tell us about the first time you watched Psycho-Pass.
I was browsing a totally legal anime watching site and it caught my eye. I'd known about its existence for years and decided to finally try it. Less than a week later, I'd watched every animated entry except Providence (it hadn't come out yet).
Kogami and Tsunemori have an interesting dynamic. What about it interests you?
I like the way it subverts the typical male/female lead romance. When I first started watching the series, I was like "ugh pleaseeee don't make them end up together." But by the time I got to the end of season 1, I found myself kicking my feet and squealing whenever they had scenes together. And the way Kogami haunts Akane throughout season 2 is quite romantic.
The way you can see as time goes on how their feelings for each other develop and evolve makes it seem much more realistic. I also love how Akane is the one who makes the moves first, she knows what she wants and she's gonna go get it lol. Kogami's lack of emotional awareness is also very cute.
Psycho-Pass has an anime, a manga, a game, and the novels. From all of that, what is your fave canon Shinkane scene?
HANDCUFFS!!!!! Providence provided us with so much good Shinkane content, but the handcuffs while holding hands is just peak. Although "Will you come with me?" "I'd follow you even if you asked me not to," comes close.
What was your inspiration for the piece(s) you made for Shinkane Week?
Providence had recently come out, so I was still riding the Shinkane high from that haha. There wasn't really a specific inspiration, I just wanted to make content of them together.
Which Shinkane work are you the proudest of?
I never ended up posting it because I didn't finish it in time, but I wrote a Shinkane fic for Kogami's birthday that I think has both of them in character while also being lovey dovey.
Music can be an influential part of your process. What song(s) do you listen to that have influenced your work? Alternatively, what are your favorite songs that remind you of Shinkane?
I mainly listen to j pop or video game soundtracks, but I don't particularly have any songs I'd call Shinkane core.
Tell us something that the Shinkane fandom wouldn’t necessarily know.
Even though I don't post a lot of Shinkane content, they're always the first thing I think of when I hear "Psycho Pass."
What is your favorite part about being in the Shinkane fandom?
The Psycho-Pass fandom in general consists of a lot of adults which makes it a much calmer and more mature social media presence. I don't think I've ever seen poor behavior from Shinkane fans, which is a nice relief from other fandoms I've been in.
What are your hopes for Shinkane in future seasons?
Enforcer Shinkane.......please production ig give us more Shinkane in action 🙏🙏
