There used to be public toilets at this collonaded area connected to a flight of steps between Blackpool's upper and lower promenades near Gynn Square. There are now Danfo toilets on the upper promenade, and the old ones have been fenced off.

In Blackpool, four Daleks were arrested and crucified for disorderly conduct, and the Tardis was towed for parking in a restricted zone and impersonating a police telephone box.

The Duke of Cambridge pub was still standing in the period photograph before being demolished later that year to make way for the new Gynn pub (which was originally where the roundabout is now).

Gynn Square before redevelopment of the area which saw the removal of the tram tracks up Dickson Road, construction of a large rounadabout, destruction of both the original Gynn Inn and Duke of Cambridge pubs and the building of the new The Gynn pub at the site where the Duke of Cambridge pub once stood.

The southern tram tracks where also connected to the Fleetwood tracks along the Promenade instead of being seperate lines.
