Back in Elliniko after a very smooth ferry trip. I slept off & on during the journey, which was just as well 'cos I didn't get much sleep last night. Gypsy was delighted to see me & kept poking me to make sure I was there & also tried sleeping on my head. No sign of Lily so I'll have a search round the garden a bit later. I've missed the cats while I've been on Ios but there isn't a way I can take them with me. They hate travelling & when we used to take them over they really didn't like the island much either. Cats bond to territory rather than to people which is why I'm happy Gypsy seems so glad to see me. Got a lot of things to sort out today so better get a move on. Happy Caturday! The cats are still in winter mode & it's increasingly difficult to get them up in the morning so I can make the bed. Here #gypsythecat has snuggled up in the blanket & refuses to move, growling ferociously when I try & entice her with food. Nope, not interested. This is the first year this has happened. Maybe it's a sign of getting older. I know I have problems myself getting up from a warm cocoon. Well I didn't get to draw the rooster, but I had a great online chat with an old mate from back in the day & his wife. We chatted away for over an hour & had a lot of laughs too. Goodbye Gypsy & Lily for a few days. Thank you for leaving me some space on the bed & letting me sleep last night without pestering me. I'm leaving the catflap open & a friend is feeding them. Cuddles? Treats? Well they'll have to wait until I get back. A thing I miss when I go over to the UK are the phone calls Uli & I made. I'd call to let him know I'd arrived safely & then we'd phone twice a day to talk to each other. We'd do this when he went over to Germany too.
