“Sörgården” reproduction 19th century wallpaper by Gysinge
A typical wallpaper from the end of the 19th century in a muted blue tone with a beige ground. The wallpaper is a reproduction of an old wallpaper fragment of unknown origin. The simple but detailed checkerboard pattern fits both in older houses and in a more modern environment.
The weather was very nice yesterday so me, my friend, and another friend who has a car went to Gysinge where we looked at old workmen's dwellings from the 1890's and walked around a bit in a nature reserve. The path was in some places an abandoned railroad track and included two bridges over the Dal River. Really mighty.

Spring in Gysinge nature reserve. The parts of the nature reserve located on the small island of Granön in the Dalälven River were once a private "wild style" park, established by a wealthy landowner in 1876. The park was abandoned long ago, and the island is now being allowed to return to a natural woodland state. However, many trees and plants that originated from the once-established park still remain.
