six minutes has been running on some crazy shit this season and not all of it has been hitting but they're rolling with it anyways and i love them for that. anyways I've got to get to my appointment with Dr. Adam Head now

Welp it’s time for my quarterly six minutes catch up before six minutes day so I don’t get spoiled.

it’s kinda Werid because when ever I listen to it I always have severe pre pandemic childhood nostalgia especially with s5 plot. (I’m only a third of the way in) it’s honestly kinda Werid to me how this is kinda the only media I’ve stuck with for so many years. (Outside of maybe Star Wars) everything else goes in and out but I always come back to find new episodes of this and no matter how long it’s been it’s still the same.

Especially Werid since as a kid I always preferred mars Patel but things change I guess. (Nothing against mars, still love that also) but I think six minutes is better with age I guess.

I just hope they get a happy ending some day though, as much as I love more seasons

While in the band, Childs said that one of the most frequent questions he was asked was about the origin of the band's name. After struggling to come up with one, they decided "we might as well stick with the most ridiculous crap name we could think of." Gorky's came from the word "gawky"; Lawrence says that "gork" was school slang for a dimwit. Zygotic was "hijacked from GCSE biology"; it refers to the state of being like a zygote – a fertilized egg cell. Mynci is a spelling of the word "monkey" using Welsh spelling rules, rather than a direct Welsh translation (the actual Welsh word is "mwnci") and is pronounced like "monkey".

Euros Childs (16.04.75) is a Welsh musician and songwriter, perhaps best known as the frontman for the band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and—as of January 2019—the keyboardist for Teenage Fanclub. His sister, violinist Megan Childs, was also a member of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, and their father Lynn played on some Gorky's recordings, most notably on Barafundle.

“Found a large envelope of photos down the side of some shelves last week that I thought were gone. Last seen 14 years ago trying to compile some photos. 

1. First trip to New York 1996. Super Furry Animals pictured on top of the World Trade Center (south tower). Pic by either Andy Saunders or Dick Green taken on a panoramic disposable camera I was carrying around. 

2. Second trip to NYC July 1998 for an SFA/Gorky’s co headline at the Knitting Factory booked by @/glennmax, Euros Childs @/national_elf and Dafydd Ieuan pose for fun on a nearby Limo at JFK or Newark just after landing. Dewi Emlyn from Ffa Coffi Pawb tour managing. Taken on a different panoramic disposable film camera. 

3. SFA started doing month or six week long tours in the US then about twice a year - here 4/5ths SFA at the Motown studio Detroit (1999 I think). Me, @/gutopryce, #daf, @/cianciaran pictured #Bunf maybe took the shot on my camera or was at the venue or something
