BOOK LAUNCH

As some of you know, Holly has been writing a book. The book is called My Own Dear Brother and it comes out two weeks today (check it out). To celebrate Holly is holding a book-launch-reading-event-music-gig-raffle-buffet-party. She will be doing readings from the book, accompanied by a live soundtrack (specially written for the event) provided by a amalgamation of Hail! The Planes + Winter Villains. Cool.

But before we get too carried away: the event is now *FULLY BOOKED*. I thought I should tell you about it anyway - there are slim pickings re H!TP news atm (but we’re not dead, okay?). We’re hoping to get some footage of the performance, which we’ll stick up on the internet sometime. We’re also hoping to take it out on the road, maybe do some festivals, so keep them peeled.

The latest H!TP clothing range is now up on our Big Cartel page.  We have t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale that were designed by us and hand screened by the magnificent Vino Sangre.  They are v.v.limited edition (only a couple per size) so if you would like one don’t hang about!

We're also very happy to broadcast that MACHO CITY have been added to the line-up. They played a blinding set at Swn Festival last weekend and we're dead pleased to have them play. The band is made up of Hywel and Iwan from TRUCKERS OF HUSK and they sound like this ↓↓↓↓↓  

Already confirmed are MARS TO STAY, who are one of our absolute favs.

SEND A SIGNAL TO ME, LOVE

We’re extremely happy and pleased to tell you that we will be releasing a new EP on Shape Records on 18th November 2013.  The EP is called Send A Signal To Me, Love and will be available as a limited edition 12” vinyl.  It's an honour to work with such a first class label - we're very excitable about all this.

F A R E W E L L , F O L E Y

As some of you will know, we have parted company with bass-meister general, Mark Foley.  Mark joined Hail! The Planes in 2010 and has been an incredibly positive presence over the past three years.  He's helped the band develop and grow, and has been the source of many a rollicking bass riff.

Mark is now focusing on his own band Shhh...Apes! who you can see at Swn festival next month, and you should, because they're quality.
