"it's not just t!will though, anything nsfw i create never gets any traction. and people whom i frequently reblog and like their spicy posts — they never extend to me the same courtesy. so you'll notice i've also stopped doing that as well.
it really doesn't feel like people are excited for anything nsfw i make, t!will or otherwise. nobody talks to me about nsfw anymore, or sends me asks. my mutuals don't interact with me. i feel like a dog begging for a bone."
why dont you try something different? post what you enjoy for you, reblog for your own record and enjoyment, write stories so you can read them and enjoy them, not just others, and comment because your comments are bursting out of you instead of doing all that stuff in the hope that people will talk back to you.
sometimes the most freeing fandom experiences can be in a little bubble, and you might be surprised by who ends up interacting with you, but you won't be needing it to have fun. people tend to get a vibe when someone really wants attention or engagement in life as well as online, and paradoxically, it usually puts people off. be chill and cool and do fandom for yourself, and people will come if they like the vibe.
but that's what i DID do. i reblogged everything, i interacted, i sent asks, i write. but you have to understand that when people don't engage with you back in the same way, it drains your energy. it's no fucking fun being the only person savaging a one-sided relationship in the fandom. it's no fun watching your active mutuals intentionally ignore your posts but reblog someone else.
so i cut my losses. maybe it makes me look desperate, but idc.
