and like can i just scream about this for a little bit?? din's while self sacrificing thing was genuinely not to be like that gross cliche cringy shit. this dude has literally been living practically alone for majority of his life. he genuinely has NO REASON to sacrfice himself for cara or the child or greef or even the ig unit - like he's a bounty hunter; he could be cruel and selfish and not give a shit about these people no matter WHAT they've done for him - but he DOES.

and the fact that before that scene, before he's hurt and insisting he sacrifice himself to keep THEM safe, we see, through HIS EYES how he first viewed the mandalorians. they came in and SAVED his people, including him and it just like,,,,,he's so honestly like that. like it's not to be some self-righteous badass who needs recognition for it; he's just,,,,,,,genuinely like that!!!
