writing tips:
Watch movies and television shows with subtitles! Sometimes, it’s easier to find ways to explain actions and sound when they are depicted with subtitles. Example: (Cries out) // (shudders) // (groans) // (yelps) when the subtitles depict these things, sometimes they actually help your understanding of them and make them easier to be put into your own writing!
Plus: take into account what (Male crying out) sounds like compared to (Female crying out) sometimes certain things have a different sound altogether. Don't always associate certain sounds with certain characteristics because sometimes they have different ones! It helps even more to go ahead and explain it. Instead of writing: Muse A pulls the switch and gets electrocuted; crying out in pain. Instead write it like: Muse A(male) reaches out and pulls the switch, a course of electricity surges from the device and into the other's fingers causing them to jerk away, and cry out in a muffled groan of pain. // Muse B (Female) reaches out and pulls the switch, a course of electricity surges from the device and into the other's fingers causing them to jerk away, and cry out in a soft yet sharp shriek of pain.
your image of the sound is different now, Isn't it?
