Sylvia Hale in H(a)unt

After her family was brutally murdered in a fire, and her father left comatose, Sylvia Hale never wanted to set foot in Beacon Hills again.  No, she would have happily spent the rest of her life on the other side of the country with Derek and Laura.  But then Laura has to go back, and goes missing, and Sylvia finds herself back in the one place she swore to never return to.  She thought that she could handle it, that they could find Laura and go home.  But Laura is dead, and the Argents are back, and Sylvia wouldn't know how to handle any of that even without Avril Argent coming into the picture.

"Men are soldiers, women are leaders."  Avril Argent had known that, had always known what was expected of her.  That was why she stayed with her family, even after her twin left.  But when Adrien joins them in Beacon Hills, followed by their Aunt Kate, and then the last of the Hunters, Avril knows that she needs to step into her role and lead her family.  If only Sylvia Hale weren't making her second guess everything she'd ever thought

Adrien Argent in H(a)unt

Ft. Jackson “Jax” Hunter & Derek Hale

Adrien Argent had always been the pride and joy of the Argent family, despite his silent hatred of his family’s values.  But he was a good soldier, he followed orders.  By twenty-three, he had long-since moved out, but when his dad called and demanded that he join his family in Beacon Hills, he obeys.  At first, he’s glad to be home, to be back with his twin sister Avril and their little sister Allison, but when his Aunt Kate joins them, everything changes.  After a chance encounter with Derek Hale, Adrien realizes just how far gone his aunt is, and he knows that he needs to stop her.  Even if it means calling Jackson Hunter for help.

Jackson Jax Hunter in H(a)unt

The Hunter family was, unsurprisingly, the original family of hunters.  Long before the Argents came into the picture, the Hunters had been ruling Europe with a different code.  Protect the innocent and hunt the guilty, regardless of species.  And Jackson - Hunter - had always abided by that.  He would just as soon protect innocent supernatural creatures from guilty hunters as he would protect innocent humans from guilty supernatural creatures.  After his parents were killed - and he had his theories about how that happened - he'd spent years on his own.  And that's when he met Adrien Argent.  The two spent several months together, hunting and learning how to live without their parents.  They'd parted ways amicably, with a promise to come if the other needed them.  But Hunter never expected Adrien to call him to Beacon Hills to help him deal with Kate Argent - the same woman who he suspected of murdering his parents.
