How can I sign up to be a shadow for Husky for a Day?

There aren't any more this semester but check that website and they should put up the Spring schedule soon...
How does husky for a day work if I have more than 1 class that day?
Does it look good to have been an ambassador for husky for a day?
It's not like a huge commitment or responsibility, so i wouldn't have it be the ONLY thing on your resume, but it's a good first leadership experience to have under your belt before applying to other things, like if you're interested in being an FYE mentor or a tour guide or anything else that works with people
Does being an ambassador for husky for a day require a lot of time dedication?
When I did it, on the days you're selected to volunteer, its was usually like a 6-7 hour commitment of nonstop showing the student around, taking them to classes, etc. You also usually have to volunteer at least 3 hours during Open House. But you should ask this when you email them!
Is it possible to sign up to be an ambassador for husky for a day? I googled it and I found only an application for northwesterns husky for a day program ? I
I would email [email protected] to ask, I know they recruit volunteers at the beginning of each semester, but if they need more people they do walk-in trainings as well. You could also walk into Tasker to ask. I also know that the program has gone through a lot of restructuring since I was a husky ambassador so this might not be 100% accurate but if you're interested, definitely email them!
Is there any benefit to being a husky for husky for a day?
You get a sense of the campus, get to sit in on at least one class, get to eat in a dining hall, and you might learn cool stories from your Husky Ambassador. If you're already sold on UConn it might not be the most useful thing ever but it's still fun. You can ask your Ambassador to show you anything you want to see, so its a chance to get a perspective that you won't get in a tour, plus it's one-on-one.
