Describe your hustle/brand
I would call my hustle/brand…elemental. Reason being is because as a photographer, I am rarely the kind that asks subjects to pose. RARELY. I love candid shooting, particularly portraiture. I love catching people off-guard and in their element, when they are vulnerable, and stripped down to the basic human core. Most clients, particularly weddings, hire me to follow them around with my camera. Be it the women are applying make-up, men grooming themselves, in the limo etc. I try to catch people when they are….being people.
My influences first and foremost are Ansel Adams, Gordon Parks, Annie Leibovitz and Roy DeCarava. If you know of these photographers you know they shot primarily in black/white. B/W photography is my absolute passion, and these guys were beyond masters. I always tell people that if you are able to make a b/w speak louder than a color photographer, you got the itch. Ansel Adams, for example. He is known for his b/w Yosemite landscapes. When you think landscapes you think vibrant colors, the trees, the valley etc, but his b/w images of a landscapes spoke so much more volumes about the American West than most color photographs to this day. I aim to reach that level one day.
What can we expect from you in the near future?
You can expect me still carrying elevating what was once a simple hobby to the next level. I have shot almost all types of events (to get an overall experience) so I want to start narrow my portfolio down to b/w portraits.
Where can we reach you? (Website, Twitter, E-mail)?
