you know, i've always interpreted that the reason why rick didn't go in the fear hole to rescue morty is because it's just like what rick mentioned, the hole will only effectively remove someone's fear via one-person capacity. otherwise, having more than one person in the hole would have their fears counter off of each other. in other words, rick didn't want to dive in because he wanted morty to get rid of whatever fear he had that made him impulsively want to jump in the hole in the first place. idk. i'm probably wrong 🤔

why is code lyoko the only show where you can pair any of the kids from the main 5, and it’ll still slay? like ulrich and yumi? slay. ulrich and odd? slay. aelita and yumi? slay. odd and jeremie? slay. odd and yumi? slay. ulrich and jeremie? slay. jeremie and aelita? slay. ulrich and aelita? slay. jeremie and yumi? slay. odd and aelita? slay.

im rewatching code lyoko and i forgot how insanely good the premise, world-building and character writing is. XANNA is quite literally the best cartoon “villain” i could think of. i thought this series was episodic when i first watched it as a child, but each episode provides an important detail / tidbit / factoid about the characters, XANNA, and the lore. AND it raises the stakes at the same time. like it really does feel like the characters are close to death or fucking up severely just in the nick of time [and for a kid’s show that’s like wow, how did they get away w this at the time]

plus, it’s another one of those shows where you can’t help but love the way these kiddos care and support each other. and each dynamic of the main 5 (im still on season 1 btw) are each carefully explored and fleshed out. and the virtual fight scenes (though the 3d visuals are outdated) are very creative. i love how the setting changes each time. like where tf is the tower at THIS time? what enemies will they be fighting up against? which characters will fight in lyoko and which will serve as damage control in the real world? and then you juxtapose it with what’s happening outside and how XANNA is manipulating everything and it’s like GODDAMN
