Hachijojima Freesia Festival

March 15th — Early April

Hachijojima holds an annual Freesia Festival to celebrate the arrival of spring. The festival began over 40 years ago and today sees over 300,000 freesia plants turn the fields at the bottom of Mount Hachijo Fuji red, yellow, purple, and pink.
