A quick-but-not-really sketch of two spooky Bootleggers character, Hashi the hachishaku (8ft tall Japanese ghost lady) and Maria the manananggal (Filipino vampire that splits in half). They're just having a stroll that seems to be turning kinda flirty.
For what's supposed to be fighting game characters, I seem to have a habit of drawing them... uhh... not fighting.
This is a call to action post for game developing!
So my GF @yandere-sayori and I are interested in developing a horror RPG Maker game in the spirit of games like The Witch’s House and Mad Father, but based on the concept of Hasshaku-sama, aka Ms. Eight-feet tall, “Takaonna”, or “Japanese Slenderman”. The problem is, while she is a puzzle developer and I a writer and overall story developer, neither of us can sprite or code at all, which is where this post comes in!
To anyone interested in working with us in developing a legitimately terrifying horror game and isn’t squeamish when dealing with horror or violent imagery for the sake of coding and injecting into a game, please lend your name and maybe your hand if you have interest! I have yet to figure out a working story, but it will most likely have heavy inspiration from the “Hentai Horror” manga by the artist Jyoka. I would honestly love to do this more in the engine that “Home Sweet Home” was made in, but I feel RPG-maker would be a better place to start.
So toss me an “Im in” along with your skill set in game development via ask on tumblr or email at [email protected] if you wanna help out, and if I manage to gather a full team, I could make a discord server for it all!
Day 9, a spooky ship of my spooky Bootleggers characters, Hahn the dullahan and Hashi the hachishaku. Apparently an avocado squishmallow is the way to a spooky 8-ft ghost lady's heart.
