I learned about this from Podcast: The Ride. I am currently nine minutes in, and this thing is solid gold.
Cybermania '94: The Ultimate Gamer Awards is hard to encapsulate. It's basically an awards show for video games, but it's so much more. It's got a ton of terrible mid-90s hacker aesthetic, that's for sure. It's hosted by Leslie Nielsen and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. That's another thing that's true about it.
Right now there's a list of 1-900 numbers to call for 99 cents a pop, to vote for Myst, NBA Jam, or Super Street Fighter II.
