Tomorrow, Washington DC is going to experience a full-on fireworks nightmare. The official numbers are 850,000 fireworks going off in forty minutes. That is 21,250 fireworks every minute.

By comparison, here is footage of the San Diego Fireworks Whoopsy, in which 7,000 fireworks went off in about thirty seconds.

So. Like that, except 50% more and lasting eighty times as long.

The Diggers took part in many events where they provided free food, receiving it through donations from local grocery stores that could no longer sell day old food.
