IMPORTANT NOTICE - DOC’S TUMBLR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED.
So. If any of you know @/dontcallthedoctor (that blog), otherwise known simply as Doc, she has this passion project on Skittles Goes To The Amazing Digital Circus, or as I like to shorten it as, SGTTADC. I’m posting this on her behalf as a friend of theirs, as she recovers from this digital blow to her project.
Unfortunately, their long-standing blog (with many updates/silly adverts I’ve had to archive for her in advance of any potential ban while the hack is happening, in light of this event) has been hacked and is being puppeteered by one of those familiar “false report and contacting (fake) tumblr discord support” scams.
Block (and report) the old hacked one: @/dontcallthedoctor , as that one is probably not going to be retrieved any time soon.
@digitalspoonsproducersgroup will be the NEW blog from Doc, go follow that one if you’ve liked SGTTADC before!!! It’s empty right now, but it won’t be. I talked with Doc herself, here’s proof she’s given us this handle and is not a bot:
(Tumblr killed the quality and dragged it across the floor, but yes, that’s Doc, we just have silly names in the shared work server. I would know if something wasn’t right, she runs that place, so the fact it hasn’t burned up in this hacking is a sign they aren’t hacked on Discord, lol.)

(Tumblr doesn’t have an offical discord support team by the way, the scammers are lying to you to get you off-platform, of course)
If you’re familiar with many of the scam warnings on Tumblr about THIS specific scam, you’ll know how bad it is to be caught up and hacked like this for a scammer’s dirty business.
Unfortunately, as I’m a relatively close friend with Doc thanks to the project, this affects our ability to help Doc with her vision we (basically) willingly volunteered to help out with, and it’s distressing to lose so much personal progress in a snap. (Yes, there’s blog backups, but you have to manually do that every time to back it up in full and there’s a bit of a limit to that, anyway)
By the way, this is literally all the scam starts with, a bland ‘hello’ as a fishing line cast out to sea:
This LOOKS normal, but Doc has never, EVER contacted me over Tumblr. She keeps in touch over on Discord (@/anunmadebed), and THANK GOODNESS over there her Discord is *not* compromised.
This is how I know this wasn’t just Doc suddenly reaching out to me through Tumblr, and that if I responded, it would spit out the fake sob story about how you were mistakenly ‘reported’ because you “looked so similar to someone else” (sounds believable… until you realise someone reporting you - for more than being a bot/unwanted adult content - would need info that would directly reference YOUR blog handle, and thus be MUCH harder to mis-report. Plus, not one human being I know and love is THAT plain, no offense. /silly) Please, ALWAYS make sure to have a communication back up, especially for online friends. Always. Shit happens like this all the time thanks to slip-ups in noticing scams you won’t notice until it’s too late, and your friends won’t know until you tell them first-hand.
