Yesterday we tried to take a trip out to the Royal National Park to see the Figure 8 Pools, however, all the national parks in the area currently have a fire ban due to a lack of rain and this particular park had all of their trails closed for the day. We decided to make the best of the day anyway and rented a canoe for an hour. We paddled down the Hacking River and had the pleasure of meeting a couple ducks and some cockatoos.
