2017.02.18 fuse
don’t sing, damn you, don’t find a chord, or be the one who takes the flying sword, it’s hailing blue, fizzling; this thing is no longer made of ice. the trail is worn and i am slapped clean in the face with a dying thornbush, cause someone said roses are sweet in the teeth. when i trail decks of matches back to the fuse, the detonator is a record i’ve set to play one last serenade so i can untie my velvet rope barricades and pour kerosene like there’s no recourse like there’s some hope or remorse like i am weight left over like i take a thread ripper to the seams in a suit that’s not mine as i’m glued to the floor.
