for the fic writer’s asks, how do you decide what pov to write in?

thank you! honestly, I usually only really start writing on account of The Sentence. I might have some vague ideas or images in my head but it all only actually starts happening once a Sentence appears fully formed in my head that latches into my brain and sends me mildly insane. I think i've rarely actually set out to deliberately think of how to get going in a particular POV. something has to just suddenly Compel me. please don't read anything into any of this about my personality and inner life. 😅

My reply was my lips roughly meeting his, tasting him as I pressed against his cool form. I kissed him like a dying man, feeling every stressful late night scrubbing dishes, every rude customer interaction without a tip, every sleepless, sweat soaked night I'd spent wondering if things would ever get better fading away all at once.

He kissed me just as greedily, his hands pulling me closer, subtly keeping me in place with the pretense of making the moment more intimate. There was no going back. He wouldn't have let me even if I'd wanted to.

Not that I wanted. Just then, his lips were the only thing I needed.
