New Betawares 7/17
Thank you for your patience as developers at Hacktivism Headquarters prepare for our newest software, H7CK71V15M 2.0!
We just put a feature freeze on the software and are preparing for BETA testing. Our new software will feature nicer designs and better products overall. The first two betawares are out today, Ando Laj's Diagonal Rotation CD and ƸC†OPL∆SM's Worthless Plastic as our 2nd VHS Single.
This is our first CD and we utilized the underrated lightscribe technology to burn disc images and our VHS singles will now include gloss liner notes and Hacktivism business cards.

Summer Releases 2015
We do realize that today is Zero Day for many of you and you are probably busy mounting drives and cracking W4R3Z but please take a break from working on your new demo and allow us to make some announcements.
There are still tapes available from our recent batch, more pictures in next post.
There are also some great reviews up for the recent releases; check out the most recent review from Hearfeel on Cestine's final album Rugosa: http://www.hearfeel.co.uk/2015/05/12/cestine-rugosa/
Our friend Theodore Schafer who provided us with our first release and has since had a release in our recent batch with Cestine has now went on to produce his own imprint, Atrium Tapes, and he already has a mention in Decoder about their stellar first three tapes.
Here at Hacktivism HQ located in the Sprawl just a trip off the Matrix, we are undergoing a lot of changes. We are no longer going to be doing releases as a batch, instead we will be employing everything with a release date and doing things one at a time. This will space out releases more and we won't be releasing as much.
Our first release with this in mind is Opaline's new album "Open Source". You may recognize Opaline's ambient, dream-synth sound from his recent releases on Phinery, Constellation Tatsu, and more recently Psychic Troubles. We are very excited for this release, Opaline's music meshes really well with Hacktivism and is a warm welcome to our discography.
We are also working with Ando Laj again on a CD out in mid-summer. This time Ando has a full length in store and we will also have a very limited number of T-shirts to coincide with the release.
Somerset is still melting in the production booth, but you can expect their release to be done cooking reasonably soon.
Also, without a current release date, we are working with Jude Noel of Half Gifts and Tony Freijat on their new project SHINIG▲MI. Jude was one of the first to help Hacktivism and to get our name out there and we are very honored to have him on board.
Lastly, there is one more VHS Single scheduled for the year which will coincide with the release of Ando's full length and it is by experimental IDM producer Ectoplasm. We will be giving his single "Worthless Plastic" a VHS Cassingle release.
Thank you,
H4CK71V15M

VHS Single #1: Achromaticist
The Hacktivism VHS Single Series will be an ongoing series where we ask artists to produce two 5-minute sides and we package them in a cassette disguised as a small VHS.
For our first single, we decided to go for something more challenging; we asked long-form ambient artist Achromaticist to produce two short pieces with a slightly brighter tone than what he usually works on. What we got was surprising: a mixture of Robin Guthrie, Brian Eno influences and Achromaticist's signature dark tone. This C10 sounds like forces tearing between good and evil. Throwing this single into your cassette player is a lot like throwing the VHS into the VCR in Ringu. We can't guarantee that you will die in 7 days but you might.
We are happy to have Achromaticist as our first VHS Single.
The Groundhog is a wuss.
