I just wanna talk about my need for more casually lgbt+ characters in media. Like, yes, I do appreciate the awareness of issues surrounding coming out/society’s bullshit/coming-of-age and learning that you’re lgbt+...

But you know what else I need? Two women in the park holding hands and leaning on each other. Two men wearing rings going to a restaurant. A teen/adult trying on wigs and debating if they should wear their binder that day or not because mother of god stop glorifying unhealthy trans narratives DON’T HURT YOUR BODY TO MAKE IT CONFORM TO HOW YOU PRESENT. PERIOD.

Ahem.

So yeah. Please can I just get some causal lgbt+ rep in media and not have the whole story revolve around people’s bs toward lgbt+ people. Because it’s media like that, that shows us living happy healthy lives despite the hardship we already know of and go through every day, that makes me feel good and gives me hope.

Ok, but last chapter? Whyman being on the moon? Absolutely no correlation to Senkuu´s "why does the moon follow me everywhere?" when he was a child. Not at all. Absolutely not. (It´s such a blatant foreshadowing I´m mad I didn´t notice earlier) Please tell me what you think because I died inside when I discovered it.

You’ve opened my eyes. Good grief the moon’s been such a big part of things, too. It’s like, always there. In the background. Like it’s... watching them. It follows them everywhere. It also makes me curious as to like, Hyoga’s fighting style being related to the moon...

... damnit now I wonder if Hyoga doesn’t possibly have something to do with it LMFAO. Long shot but hey this is Inagaki. I can make foolhardy connections if I want to. Oddly, his style was related to the sun last fight... *thinking face* Who knows.

I also just. Realized this chapter that the entire convo Senkuu had with Tsukasa? The rambling, asking Tsukasa who he’d take on a space venture— that was also foreshadowing. And Senkuu absolutely doesn’t think he’d be useful. He says “Whoever the best scientist is when we launch” like he believes someone is going to outdo him before then.

Oml I’m so hype for this arc. I sense more feels fest. I’m ready to cry.

What do you think of senku science club classmates? You think that they were jealous of the president? That they admired him? Hated him? Saw him as an equal?? Or a complete mix because they are teenagers and because of that total dumbasses?

Absolutely being the smartest guy in school garners a lot of attention, both good and bad.

His classmates might not have always known what to do with him, considering his wild appearance and sometimes stand-offish personality. But honestly anyone that spends more than five minutes with him probably knows he’s not a bad guy. As for the total dumbasses, oml u can bet there were probably some that hated him for being so smart (and hardworking) and jealous of it. He was probably pretty popular and well-known, though. Definitely not blending into the background.

But honestly, I can imagine Senkuu back in the modern day being wild af and his fellow club mates probably knew that side of him best XD. Imagine him sitting down for wild hours-long lectures and demonstrations and they’re both exasperated and hyped up because science with Senkuu is always fun. LMAO maybe he even tries to get them field trips.
