The Siren and the Chimera
(Continued from here with @hadesbar.)
..Were those footsteps she heard?
Snapping open her eyes, the siren looked up to the surface. It didn’t look like one of those damn humans in lab coats, but someone was still on her turf. Her pupils formed into slits as she charged up to meet the trespasser.
“Here it comes..” One of the observers muttered to himself.
A burst of water shot up into the air as SCP-3010 revealed herself to everyone’s view. Keeping her mouth clamped shut until the fin flaps closed around her gills, the siren let out a hiss, baring her teeth and letting her human lungs take control of breathing now.
“This is MY turf. LEAVE.”
Glimpses of glittery scales could be seen as the siren thrashed her tail about in the water. She dug her claws into the snow on the edge of the lake, letting out another hiss. If this stranger wouldn’t leave, she could force her fins forward and shoot her spines out..
“SCP-3010, please allow SCP-3825 to approach you. If you do not comply, we will bring SCP-3011-1 in h-”
The siren snarled at the voice speaking to her. The scales that covered up most of her arms began to raise in an almost ruffled-like manner.
“You keep that lowlife creep away from me. ..FINE.”
The siren let out a breath, forcing her scales to smooth down. She looked up to the chimera with distrust still in her eyes.
“Do what you have to do so I can be left the hell alone.”
