Blueberry and Fruit cakes
Blueberry Cake: Do you have any hobbies?
Video games, reading, drawing, writing, knitting. I’m varying degrees of competent at them, but they’re fun.
Fruit Cake: Four things you want to do?
Learn how to/be comfortable wearing makeup more frequently, travel more (like to other countries), learn motivation, play video games
Pale blue, Red, yellow.
Pale blue: Can you swim?
Yes. I was actually on the swim team in…junior high? Though I wasn’t very good.
Red: Calm or aggressive?
Um…depends on the situation, but if it’s something confrontational or competitive then usually more aggressive. Most of the time I’m pretty calm, though.
Yellow: Favorite time of day? Why?
I love the nights, when everyone else is in bed and everything’s quiet. I can usually get more writing and stuff done at night cause it’s so peaceful.
Grif, Andy, Four Seven Niner, Omega
Grif: What’s your favorite food?
Um…do I have to pick just one? Shit, uh…probably chicken. But most sweet things (with the exception of chocolate) are up there, too. And tacos, burgers, pizza… I just like food.
Andy: Do you swear a lot?
Yes. Always have, though it’s gotten worse the past few years. I blame Rooster Teeth for that.
Four Seven Niner: How sarcastic are you?
Very. I love my sarcasm. My sarcasm is amazing. It also helps me figure out who I actually want to hang out with. Anyone who is honestly insulted by my sarcasm shouldn’t be my friend. It will happen a lot.
Omega: Would you say that you’re a violent person?
Maybe? I don’t really hurt anyone. Much. I’ve knocked my brothers (and sometimes my friends) around a bit, and I tend to throw or hit things when I get really angry or frustrated. But I don’t ever want to really hurt someone, so… I don’t know.
4, 11, 25
4 - guesses as to what’s actually in a life bottle?
Concentrated holy water, glitter, mineral water, enchanted water, perfume
11 - times you had to remind yourself that Tales games are supposed to be fun?
Vesperia’s secret missions (I’ve only gotten as far as Barbatos while trying to get them all, but ZAGI ON THE BOAT uugghh), getting murdered by a fake chest and losing like 5 hours of progress, KURT (actually pretty much any difficult/bonus boss), getting lost on the world map (looking at you Abyss), when I realized I’d taken far too much effort into getting everything in Symphonia (monsters, steals, chests, costumes, recipies, figurines, etc etc etc) (I handwrote pages of lists for that) (I still have them it’s insane)
25 - silly things in Tales games that never fail to make you smile?
Skits, fun battle ends, funny coincidences (”look me in the eye!” while free-running away), glitches (like being killed by a door), inside jokes
8. Favorite fictional setting/universe
yo, why did you send this nearly a full day late
Favorite fictional setting/universe
Hmm, this is kind of tough, so I’ll start with the key factors in what my favorite setting might have:
I want to live in this setting, magic is real and also fantastic, life in general is cool, and the colors are vibrant.
Haha, honestly at this rate there are probably a lot of settings that more or less fit the bill, so here are some that I particularly like: Tales games in general, Pokemon (cool animals instead of magic it’s all cool), Harvest Moon, maybe Animal Crossing?
Really though this is just a list of happy video games with good colors.
Maybe I should think a little more about settings that are cool as settings?
In which case, things look a little more like…Tamora Pierce books, the Harry Dresden series, and the Tales games again (haha). I like settings that are neatly defined, that have consistent rules (for magic), but that still let fantastic and amazing things happen.
Yam
Yam - Unpopular Opinion?
Haha, I honestly have no idea because it’s been way too long since I’ve been involved in Harvest Moon fandom in any way shape or form for me to know what’s popular or not but uh…
I love the typos and everything and they are the icing on the perfect cake that is More Friends of Mineral Town.
I got nothing else sorry—wait!
The bachelor choices in Another Wonderful Life are absolutely terrible and that is a big part of the reason I never finished the first year in that game.
Blue
9 facts about my family? Okay…
1. Everyone except my youngest brother is more of a quiet, inside person. He’s such an extroverted, outdoors person it’s a little perplexing.
2. For that matter, I suppose I should mention that I live with my parents and two younger brothers. (I’m the oldest kid)
3. Apparently my dad was engaged to somebody else sometime before he married my mom? That’s as much as I know, actually.
4. There was a time when 90% of my extended family (immediate family included) lived in California, but now that’s not quite the case anymore.
5. My mom, my aunts and I have a secret code of ‘they’re from Hollister’. No, I won’t tell you what it means.
6. Out of my extended family, we’ve got the most computer savvy, so my dad is often called for computer support from other family members.
7. My mom has admitted to stalking my dad before they dated. He just laughs when she mentions that she would drive to campus on days she didn’t have class but he did.
8. Board games are a totally very important part of my family and we play them pretty often. On the other hand, most of our games are super complicated and/or nerdy so my mom tends to stay out unless we’re playing Parcheesi or Monopoly or games like that.
9. I love my family to bits. They can be irritating or annoying at times, but at the end of the day, I still love them.
