speaking in-universe, i hate that lemony wrote ASOUE.

it doesn't feel like something with true intentions, it feels like an extension of his obsession with beatrice. and i say obsession because i think he really loved the idea of loving her more than beatrice herself. i think beatrice would have a very different story to tell about lemony.

and an aside, i think kit would hate ASOUE. she'd see right through lemony and know exactly why he wrote it, and i think she'd be so angry at him for the intense bias that bleeds into it.

gotta love lemony snicket for the fact that there ain't no clickbait in asoue. he specifies a series of extremely gruelling experiences, so bad they seem metaphorical, at first. Then it happens. Word for word. In the most literal sense. At least bro gave us a trigger warning. We did get shot 57 times yes, but we were warned.
