the face of love’s rage ﹕ @haewonlgc.

family is a peculiar thing, per se. one minute, everyone is tied to one another; inseparable. the next, everything comes crumbling down, never to be repaired. no—one talks about the distance that comes afterwards — two families that go without speaking to, or hearing of one another for years.

maybe it’s for the better — that father begins to pivot his hatred elsewhere rather than towards his brother, and his family, that he walks out of bitna’s life, too, and doesn’t look back. but at the end, it is still yoon bitna who holds grudges like hands, and it is still her father’s bitterness that thrums through her heart at the sight of yoon haewon.

bitna knows haewon enough to recognize her anywhere, even with no contact whatsoever from both ends. it’s clear that neither of them had expected to meet one another again, much less be in legacy together as trainees. the timing is uncanny — the hallways are empty enough to encase around just them two, as they stand face to face; not as cousins, not as friends, but as strangers.

there’s a fair amount of shock currently coursing through veins, but doesn’t reach bitna’s visage — a frown long formed. “so,” after a long period of silence, letting tension drag its claws through the air unrelenting—like. “what are you doing here?”
