Prison, baby

Hamlet walked out of the gates, a satisfied grin on his lips. It had only taken him 4 years to get out of that dump Arkham called a prison, he had told his queen that he would come back and now he could fulfill that promise. He raised both eyebrows at the guard and bowed sarcastically. “It’s been a pleasure staying at your fine facility.” He barked out a laugh making the guards back away into the prison. He scanned the parking lot for his car that he’d asked his aunt to drive there just a few days ago. Now he was going home to his Queen.

He walked up to the door, suddenly feeling selfconcious, what if she didn’t love him anymore? He shook his head, of course she loved him. He knocked at the door and waited for it to open. When it did he looked at the spot where Effy’s head would be, only to find air. He looked lower and saw a little girl.

Hamlet growls as he sees the other male flirting with Effy. His Effy. He walks up to them with a snarl, grabbing the guys shirt in the process of walking by and dragging him along to the nearest wall. He grabs the guys hair and slam his head in the wall three times ,saying one word for every hit. "She. Is. Mine."

She was shocked as she watched Hamlet attack the guy she’d just been talking to. Unsure why he would react like that until she heard the words leave hims mouth. ‘She. Is. mine.’ replayed over and over again in her head, making her heart pound faster. She was his, and understood his jealousy. She moved, placing a hand on his upper arm. “We need to get out of here. I don’t want you to get in trouble for this. Come on, I love you. I love just you.”

Hamlet sighed at the feeling of comfort that ran over him when Effy rubbed his back. He couldn’t tell her the truth about what was stressing him out, how do you tell someone you care for that you’ve committed a crime, let alone tried to break out his parents. She’d run away screaming. So he had told her that he and Lillith had visited some family and ended up disagreeing with their relatives.

He sighed in relief again. “You know Effy, you are too good for me.” He turned to her face and placed a soft kiss on her lips before resting his forehead against hers.
