"You have to—-“
Out of breath he was, nearly having collapsed on the floor beneath him, a single hand putting pressure upon the firm wound he’d gotten from the fight; he’d lost it, and it was a foolish move to participate in although by now it was far too late—- breathing out heavily, he tried his best to hold onto his consciousness, however it seemed to slip more and more easily as if it were never meant to be there in the first place. Eyes shifted from the floor to Al, and he flashed a smile before hie hand slipped and his back slammed against the hard, cold floor that covered all the ground of Rapture. He cursed loudly, even if he had to spare his energy, it did nothing but pain him severely up until the point that there were visible tears prickling the corners of his eyes.
“Ugh— jus’— jus’ go, okay? Don’t think ‘bout me!” He heard the nonsensical shouts in the distance and immediately a shiver went down his spine. There was no way she could save him, not while these hordes kept coming for them, not while he was this weak and limp. And they both knew it. He was doomed, all because of his limited reaction time. He was deeply ashamed, but had long accepted his fate. “Just-- run. Run as fast as ye can. An’ no matter what ye do, don’t come back fo’ me ‘cause it’s useless t'look back when there's a future ahead of ye, a very bright one.” How he’d wished he wouldn’t have to let those worlds roll off his tongue, the many times he’d prepared himself for a situation like this nothing alike the actual situation.
”Please— do it fo’ me.”
