The "Irishman" eyed her, sizing her up. Yes, he decided, she'd be a good enough recruit. Hell, at this point, he'd take whoever he could get. The important thing about his army was that it was big, not necessarily that it was effective. "So," he said, laying the accent on thick, "Think yer ready t'stand up t'someone like Andrew Ryan?"

" You're one of atlas's followers, ain't 'cha? i sure hope you're not lookin' to start trouble here, miss. i may not fully agree with rapture's system, but i need to make cash to get by. "
her shift was already over, but she was taking a few moments to relax before going back home. with her affiliation to andrew ryan, she had become awfully familiar with several faces of atlas's rebels. she admired them for speaking up and being so daring and yet, she hated them for causing so much chaos and putting ryan in such a horrible mood. she's the one who had to tolerate his bitter attitude in the end, after all.

"You have to—-“
Out of breath he was, nearly having collapsed on the floor beneath him, a single hand putting pressure upon the firm wound he’d gotten from the fight; he’d lost it, and it was a foolish move to participate in although by now it was far too late—- breathing out heavily, he tried his best to hold onto his consciousness, however it seemed to slip more and more easily as if it were never meant to be there in the first place. Eyes shifted from the floor to Al, and he flashed a smile before hie hand slipped and his back slammed against the hard, cold floor that covered all the ground of Rapture. He cursed loudly, even if he had to spare his energy, it did nothing but pain him severely up until the point that there were visible tears prickling the corners of his eyes.
“Ugh— jus’— jus’ go, okay? Don’t think ‘bout me!” He heard the nonsensical shouts in the distance and immediately a shiver went down his spine. There was no way she could save him, not while these hordes kept coming for them, not while he was this weak and limp. And they both knew it. He was doomed, all because of his limited reaction time. He was deeply ashamed, but had long accepted his fate. “Just-- run. Run as fast as ye can. An’ no matter what ye do, don’t come back fo’ me ‘cause it’s useless t'look back when there's a future ahead of ye, a very bright one.” How he’d wished he wouldn’t have to let those worlds roll off his tongue, the many times he’d prepared himself for a situation like this nothing alike the actual situation.
”Please— do it fo’ me.”

Lin looked positively dreadful. He looked tired, beaten up, angry, and unlike himself. Shaking hands clutched the gash across his stomach - it wasn't fresh, but it wasn't healing either. He looked at the girl and spoke through gritted teeth.
"I said I don't care whose side you're on, I just need to get this patched up.”

15: last kiss
Attacks had always been hard on her, and he knew that, thus he feared every time might be her last. And that would be something utterly devastating for him, so he had to close the chapter; if it were to close, with something special. He had called her over, and he knew she most likely wouldn’t mind, but that didn’t stop him from being overly nervous.
“Al.. I’m really grateful fo’ knowing you ‘n’ fo’ what ye’ve done for us all.” He smiled, although a sorrowful reflection of his true emotions— the aching, throbbing idea of losing someone like her becoming plain to see. “Ye’re.. heh, absolutely wonderful, lass. An’ I hope you stay that way forever.” Gently he placed his hands on her shoulders, a single thumb on his right hand stroking her smooth skin, him not daring to look her in the eye. She probably already knew why he'd pulled a tone like that out of nowhere. He was afraid. Afraid of losing her.
Letting out a sigh, he gathered the courage he needed in a spontaneous moment of self-confidence and leaned over, carefully placing a small kiss on her lips. As he was about to pull away, he deepened it slightly, turning it into something longer, more passionate— filled with his true emotions, and slowly he shut his eyes, indulging in the brief moment that could possibly change their relationship forever if both of them were to came out alive. Taking a deep breath, he pulled away.
".. Y' deserved that. An' so much more."
