Delicate fingers worked at the back of the man’s shoulders. Pressing into the tired muscle that he’d exhausted while guiding her through the wilds. Hacking through vines and branches all day- then returning to camp and insisting on chopping firewood- really did make one ache she was certain. So she hadn’t even asked if he needed it.

Elsa had been right of course. It wasn’t as if he was impossible to read.. Most of the time anyway. And maybe she secretly used a bit of her magic to cool the inflamed tissue and ease the soreness and swelling so it could heal.

“You’re welcome.” She grinned, patting his shoulders before walking around to sit beside him. “I’m lost out here without you. If you hurt yourself we’re both in trouble.”
