imagine
Imagine being this actual loser
Imagine being so covertly unwell you stay in a kind of toxic boss/employee friendship where you're in love with a man who's planning to cause your death and everyone else's because HE'S mentally unwell too but taking that out on reality itself with a magic book that kinda amplifies his feelings I guess?
And you're so close yet so emotionally far from him You only want him to be happy even if your heart shrivels at the thought of that girl and the end goal of the prophecy it doesn't matter. Your happiness doesn't matter
And he barely says a thing about you when you die to save him
And HE DOESN'T EVEN THINK TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR CORPSE it's not even on screen he just flies away to happyland with his wife becoming forgiven as one of the historical saviors of reality
And then you wake up alive again because fate is a condescendingly merciful asshole
And then you cry
And then your ex coworkers say
you're like "k". Theres talk about some bullshit like making a ideal world you don't actually believe what you're saying
And then after some time passes Super Mario from Nintendo just walks up to you
You awkwardly vent a little about your depression (because you're socially inept and dont know how to make conversation with people like a normal amoeba without work being involved) but you don't actually know it's depression you can't even identify it you just feel no hope at all for your future.
You've done so much guilt inducing shit for the only person who's ever done a nice thing like saving you, even if you were a bat at the time. The only one that's made you dream for even a second of having more than what you have. Now he's gone and you're still here. You kind of want to silently fall off a cliff honestly and you don't have the brain tools to handle it. You weren't meant to have no job or schedule. Now you're just a worthless pest again like you've always secretly been
The plumber guy says nothing to you none of the good guys do
You're on your own in this place
Forever your life is left on a cliffhanger where people look at you and think you're just sad, can be "fixed" with hopespeak. They only pity you at best, the hollow shell of a second rate villain. They don't care to know you.
Your feelings don't matter.
They don't want to hear you scream.
