With every “!!” i get, I’ll introduce you to an OC!

Name: Spade (King of Spades) Age: Late 30s Race: Human/Royal Faceclaim: Josh Holloway Blog: N/A

Spade began and remains a character I created specifically for a Dark Wonderland roleplay many, many years ago (20 years ago or so?). The roleplay was forum based and based off American McGee’s Alice (and later Madness Returns). This rp lasted a very long time, close to 12 years I’d say.

Spade is a part of the Royals of Wonderland. Once upon a time, before the Red Queen gained complete control of Wonderland, it was separated in 4 segments for each suit: Hearts, Spades, Clubs && Diamonds. The Spades were considered the brawl of Wonderland and its main army; however, violence was also their very last resort. It constituted of a King and a Queen. However, due to unfortunate events, the Queen of Clubs became infuriated with the Spades, and had her subjects concoct a disease that was meant to weaken and humiliate them. However, it proved too potent. When it did not kill the Spades, it turned them into evil shadows of themselves. Affecting the Queen and King of Spades, they went to war with the rest of Wonderland. Stopped by the Hearts, the King and Queen were beheaded, and the Spades disappeared into oblivion…. That is, until they were reborn anew many years later.

Spade and Angel (who would become Queen), sought the truth of their suit’s demise, only to eventually become ill as well. Spade, in an effort to save Angel, came to the Dollmaker before he would become consumed by the disease; the underground dormant force of Wonderland, and pleaded for him to remove the disease from Angel. The Dollmaker agreed under the condition Spade would absorb the disease from Angel and would respond would he need his services. Spade agreed, and Angel was spared, then removed from his care. However, with a double dose of the blue blood, Spade was twice as cruel as his predecessor. Not remembering he saved Angel from a doomed fate, he instead chased her, seeking her to restore the Spades – for a Kingdom cannot live without its most important piece: the Queen.

He would go on to brutalize and terrorize many – for example, he skinned the White Rabbit alive to gain information. We never reached the point where he was saved from the disease in the end.

He’s one of my favorite muses tbh. Sometimes I think about bringing him back to Tumblr (because I brought him for a little while). But we’ll see ;)
