just imagine… akaashi keeping this literal list of bokuto’s weak points in a tiny notebook…..
third gym dynamics aka the dumb vs the done
Haikyuu 195
Am I reading this right? :(( I don't like it, the Battle at the Garbage Dump won't happen during Kuroo's term. He really wanted it to happen and I wanted to see a real rematch between Nekoma and Karasuno. I feel happy for Bokuto but I feel even sadder :( I've always thought that Seijoh is Haikyuu's equivalent to Kise's team (KnB) but now I think it's more of Nekoma. Ah, I just slumped on the bed :(((
*SCREAMS INTO THE VOID*
THEY ACTUALLY WON HOLY FUCK YES
AAKASHI WAS SO COOL AND BOKUTO WAS LIKE HUSFGJFYDGBFJDBGNUD
I was sure that nekoma was going to win but woah that turn around I’m so hAPPY
But nekoma?! What will happen to them?! Hopefully something happens later on so they can get that other ticket!
Ok, but now I’m really curious to see Sakusa and the Itachiyama team!
If anyone was worried about the top-left narrative line on the Mangastream scanlation, which reads ‘One ticket remaining to the Spring High Tournament’, you probably don’t have to be worried. (As we know, the outcome of the other match isn’t known yet, so saying there’s only one ticket left could very well mean that Nekoma won’t qualify.) However, the actual line reads ‘春への切符、また一つ!!!’ which would be more accurately translated as ‘One more ticket to the Spring High has been given out!’ or more liberally, ‘One more school has qualified for the Spring High!’. This also means, we still don’t know if Furudate-sensei plans on having three schools from the Tokyo area qualify as per real life, or only two schools... I guess we’ll have to wait to find out (although I think Nekoma’s likely to qualify somehow and will play Nohebi, or it won’t really make sense for them to be introduced earlier, plus I don’t see Itachiyama losing to Nohebi, not with Sakusa. Can’t wait for the next chapter to see what happens.)
[Since I was putting up the last page, I decided to put up all the pages with the lines from Bokuto’s shirt since I quite like the calligraphy~ XD]
Also one small point to quibble about on Page 10: Yamamoto’s line was translated as “Let’s switch places” but it reads ‘切り替えましょ!’ which doesn’t specify places or positions, as is usual in Japanese. We don’t see them switching places in the panel further down the page, so it would probably be better translated as ‘Let’s switch things up.’ which is less specific and fits the context better. (All other translations seem fine but I guess I wouldn’t be as liberal with some of them...)
