"a perfect painting does not exist. you can't stroke your brushes against your canvas with using only the colors you think look beautiful and appealing to the eye. this is what kuroo discovered as he and kenma progresses. as soon as he works deeper into their portrait of a relationship, as kenma's roots slowly take a hold of kuroo making him unable to move - moss green, dab brown and the darkest shade of black - colors that signify loneliness, anger and fear. he grasps the idea that all these colors are essential, and possibly tones that can bring out the best in their enigmatic combination."
